Why We Built This Site
North Carolina gives the public access to many court records, while juvenile files, expunged records, sealed matters, and sensitive personal information remain restricted. In Granville County, the Clerk of Superior Court handles case files, certified copies, estates, special proceedings, and county criminal record checks. The Register of Deeds handles marriage records and land records. The Sheriff's Office and Detention Center handle custody and law-enforcement records. The goal is to keep those roles clear.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
